RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS
(RCIA)

“The Rite of Christian initiation is designed for adults who...consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God’s help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time will receive the sacraments fully. This rite includes not simply the celebration of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist but also all the rites belonging to the catechumenate.” (Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).

RCIA is open to those who have never been baptized, those who were baptized in another faith community and those who were baptized Roman Catholic but never completed the Sacraments of Initiation.

If you are an adult and would like to learn more about Catholic beliefs and practices, would like to complete the sacraments, or are interested in becoming part of the RCIA team, please contact Deacon Eric at 215-357-1221 ext. 24, or email deaconeric.abvm@gmail.com. Inquiries about unbaptized children (age 7 and above) should be directed to the Religious Education Office at 215-357-3445 or email abvmreo18@gmail.com.
